Good morning Mr.swagatam,

iam facing the problem of entry of rats into my car engine compartment and chewing the wiring eventually causing frequent electrical problems. I saw a car rat repellent device in Amazon but is costing nearly rs 4000. Therefore, I request you to post or Design a circuit which can be helpful to overcome the problem. Thanking you

Good Morning BLV,
I think you should try the following circuit and check if it works or not to repel the rats away from your car:

Can this circle expel tarantula spiders!!??

You didn’t tell us how much bandwidth this circuit releases …!!!

Sir, what is the frequency range of the piezo transducer ?

Author
#80560

It is around 40 kHz

#80552

hello can you be more specific on specification/ model of the piezo transducer ? thanks !!

Good morning sir, sir is about this Mosquito Repeller Circuit the transducer is of two type, the two terminal and three terminal. which one can serve the purpose. next for generating 20 herz frequence which value of resistor and capacitor can one use.

Youngking, Both will work, for 3 terminal piezo, ignore the center wire connection

Hello brother….
Did you test this circuit …
I was try some circuits like this one. but nothing any sucess.
nothing happend to mosquitos
please help…

Hello Aruna, I personally have not tested it, but the circuit might work if the frequency perfectly matches the level that may be most disturbing for the mosquito.

Hello sir, can I use this circuit to run small 3v dc motor, with different speed like pwm??

Hi Nitin, yes you can try it in the transistor strobe light article, using the second design, not the above.

Pls can I power this circuit with 9v battery? And were you able to lay your hand on (Arun’s) same circuit?

Author
#58048

you can try with a 9V supply, I am sorry I did not get any email from Mr. Arun regarding the concept so far…

Pls I need a circuit with two push button.if the first button is pressed the relay should open after 5min and it should remain that way even if the power is off and re-on,except the second button is pressed to changed the state of the relay to its normal state.pls help me.thanks

without power the circuit will reset, so it is difficult to create something that will continue to hold its state even without power….it will require a of thinking.

Anyone did this do it works well?

Any body did this circuit and do it works well?

hi swagatam,

i am a farmer, and need a simple repelling device for use in agricultural equipment, so i can reduces insecticide use.

device features;
a. solar powered with rechargeable battery.
b. a multi pulse repeller, keeps changing the ultrasonic pulse it emits. prevent pests from getting used to the sound.
c. effective range: up to 5000sf.
d. ultrasonic frequency: from 13.5khz to 95khz.
e. dual speaker or more.

could you please help me with a circuit diagram?

thank you.

Hi Cia,

I'll try to design it and publish it soon in my blog.

#20853

I have snt u an email ( to hitman2008@….. ). Plz check it out sir.

#20843

Of course i will sir.
On searching the internet about this topic in deep, i got several verified projects based on this, one of those saying that at high frequencies , the insect will think that some sort of dragonfly is coming to catch them and will fly away from the area. I believe thz to an extend since this statement can be true. What z ur opinion about this ?
Would you mind telling me how much does the piezo buzzer costs ?

Author
#20867

I hope it's true and you succeed with your project.
the cost of the recommended 27mm piezo element would be hardly some rupees, may be Rs.5/-

#20820

Sir,
First of all thank you very much for all your valuable supports given for my water controller project. It is working perfectly. Now i am in the middle of making multi insect repellent which can be used for repelling all types of insects, even dogs, cats etc could be repelled. Before proceeding further, let me ask you two questions:-
1). Have you heard about any insect repellent circuit which is completely functioning or any such products in market ?
2). What type or buzzer to be used for freq. upto 90 Khz ? Can an ordinary 8 ohm 0.5 W buzzer will function atleast in freq. range of 20-30 Khz ?
Expecting ur reply soon as b4.

Hi Arun,
congrats on your success!

I personally am very sceptical about this concept, according to me frequencies cannot drive away insects.

Standard speakers will not produce 90kHz, you can use piezo transducers for it.

Do let me know the results if you are actually trying out any such circuit.
